Using CHAP and DES.....

I'm just going over my notes from 410 exam exam fail, I can recall a question about enabling CHAP and DES, I can see there's an option to set DES encryption in AD Users & Computers in user account options but can it be set elsewhere ?

I'm not sure about how and where to enable CHAP, I'm presuming this is used for remote access ?

When I saw this question in the exam I thought it had been pulled straight out of the NT4 question pool and I wasn't expecting it!!!
