Disable URL bar on Windows Explorer

Is there a way to disable the URL bar on Windows Explorer? The reason I ask is because I want to prevent users from typing in "C:\" and possibly editing files on there...
Please see picture for more details, it's the highlight portion of the picture that I'm talking about.

--chris-- Member Posts: 1,518 ■■■■■□□□□□If you append the icon that launches IE's file path (for example: "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -k) with a "-k" that will launch it in Kiosk mode that removes almost everything.

pandiculator Member Posts: 44 ■■■□□□□□□□I'm not sure that you can remove the address bar. However, you can restrict access to the C: drive. Use group policy if your computer is domain joined or local group policy if it is not. Enable 'Prevent access to drives from My Computer' which can be found under User Configuration | Administrative Templates | Windows Components | Windows Explorer
