I heard a rumor somewhere that this notification is useful:
It might save you the hour you spent troubleshooting why a hard drive you deleted from a Windows 8 Storage Spaces shows up in device manager but not Drive Management. It can also save you the time spent opening the case and trying different SATA ports and cables.
I finally noticed the warning symbol and it said "Storage Spaces requires your attention" so I had to go into Storage Spaces and release the drive there and guess what shows up in Drive Management? Yeah......
