Cisco Press Vs. Sybex...or is the vs. part a mistake....

Hi folks,

Sorry to bring up something that's in ways been done to death here but I haven't found an answer to this specific question in previous posts - I know that both books are recommended in collaboration but seeing as my finances are limited and I already have the new Cisco Press 640-801 books and the CCNA Netsim it'll be hard to justify a second book unless you guys think it really is a necessity. Are the 2 recommended in order to plug essential knowledge gaps in each other or is it a case of the Sybex 'just' being easier to understand (Which seems to be the gist of previous posts)?

Thanks in advance. :)

Cisco covers almost all the topics... but when you get stuck at certain point or when things are not clear in the Cisco book, the Sybex will be of a great help.

Get yourself a good troubleshooting TCP/IP book for the "deeper" meaning to internetworking

I used the Cisco Press two book kit and it was awesome. Never even looked at the Sybex.

    Good luck,
