I arrived on KAF this week and find out the testing center has recently closed. I planned to arrive in country and finish the INCD2 exam and transition to CCNP routing. Any advice on how to do this process without being able to test out for another 6 months to a year? I don't want to sit idly by and not make progress for an entire year. Thanks!

Testing is simply a method of verifying you have learned the material. While it is not ideal you can simply get to the point that you are comfortable with CCNA and move on to studying for CCNP.

    Good Luck!

For me CCENT and CCNA are just to solidify my knowledge. I've read most of the books on Amazon so far on the exam and most of the first 10 chapters are refresher of network + and my hands-on experience. But like Jon says the exams just prove you can put your money we're you're mouth is...

It may be a long shot, but try to get a trip to BAF while you're over there, I'm certain they have testing centers.
