Looking for answers of two questions
1. What are top 5 or 10 most widely used Proxy server in Enterprise world
2. Can we categorized them into some subset. To give more context, I have a httpclient, given some parameter it can traverse through the proxy server to estabilsh a connection . I wanted to check if it can work with most of the proxy server, which all proxy server should I test to have minimum risk.
Thanks,
VC

Expect Member Posts: 252 ■■■■□□□□□□you have many options..
Websense and squid are quite popular, in terms of Enterprise i would go for websense. -
lsud00d Member Posts: 1,571I'm assuming you're asking about forward web proxies given the phrasing of your post.
As @Expect mentioned, Squid and Websense are good. I believe F5's Big-IP can transparent forward proxy, along with Apache, Nginx, and probably some other web server setups as well.
I would do your testing with Squid. It's easy to setup, easy to use, and commercial products should be able to do everything Squid does. -
