Documentation - what do you use?

I'd be interested in hearing what you and/or your company use for documentation. We're currently using a mash up of mediawiki and word documents but would like to consolidate it to something that is useful.

While I'd prefer to recommend some form of open source software, Microsoft Sharepoint is a very good choice. It's very easy to use. Even non-technical people can easily add content.

The downsides are going to be cost and the need for a Sharepoint admin. Budget is important and can really change the responses you get.

A well-managed mediawiki is extremely useful - our SOC uses it and it works great for us

We use a product called "Policy and Procedure Manual". It's web based and pretty easy to use.

Some type of mediawiki variation is going to be the easiest and least expensive option.
