difference between AD Administrative Center and Users and Computers?
Hey.
first thing in the morning, someone phones that they are locked out of their PC at login. I searched for "ad" and load up the ADAC, looks a bit different but ok, find the user and "unlock". Other techie comes in and tells me im in the wrong one.
Just wondering if the unlock function in ADAC was the same as "unlock" under accounts, or if I've "unlocked" aka "unleashed" this users account for anything that they really should be able to do?
Kai.

One thing I noticed at a previous job where we implemented Windows was that by using ADAC (Administrative Center) you were able to set a password to the same thing over and over again (it ignored that policy) whereas with ADUC it would not let you set the same password two times in a row. I am not sure if this is the case in all installations or if ours was an anomaly so I'd like to hear what others think...Working on MS-ISA at Western Governor's University -
LeifAlire Member Posts: 106Another great thing about ADAC is at the bottom say if you add a new user it shows the PowerShell script so you can copy that code and start doing in PS in a line or 2 what takes many clicks in the console.2015 Goals: VCP-550 - CISA - 70-417
