in CCNA & CCENT
I am in the process of studying for my CCNA and would like to know if ISDN is covered in any great detail on the exam? I don't want to shell out $600 for a simulator that I don't need or study a topic that is no longer relevant.

Webmaster Admin Posts: 10,292 AdminI suggest spending that on other devices or a good routersim rather than buying a isdn sim. You may get some questions about ISDN, but it's not a very popular exam item any more. If you read my ISDN TechNotes a couple of times you should be able to answer any ISDN questions you may get.

If I only had a limited amount of time to study and had to leave one topic out so I could concentrate on others then I would forgo studying ISDN over any other. That's not to say you might not get questioned on it, and I would try to be prepared, but I would certainly not make it the central focus of my studies.
