Need guidelines and advice in starting career in storage administration

Dear All,

I am working as a system engineer desktop level d2. I want to move to next level.
So i want to do storage certification.

Kindly guide me which storage certification will be best to start the carrier in storage administrator site.

Let me know whether we have to do vmware certification after completing the storage certification.

I am new to the field and i am eager to learn. Kindly advice me.
