in CCNA & CCENT
Hi all,
I was wondering if any one could help? I have just obtained my CCNA and would like now to become a CCNP but!. I have been to Cisco’s site and see that the CCNP exams close in September. Dose anyone know what Cisco is replacing it with and if I buy books now will they be relevant to the new CCNP. I would like to get started this week but not sure I'll have enough time to finish before SEP, then be stuck with hundreds of bucks worth of useless books.
Also I have a question regarding the knowledge a CCNP has, is it naive to think that if I study at home an pass the exams that I will know enough to gain useful employment in networking. In a couple of weeks I may have limited access to a couple of 1600 routers but will have no access or exposure to anything else. Do any CCNP's(employed) out there believe a paper CCNP without hands on experience is useful?
Any input would be appreciated.
