CompTIA exam scoring

Hey everyone. I'm wondering how to figure out how well I did on the exam. I made 819/900 but the scoring goes 100-900

Does that mean that my 819/900 is equivalent to 719/800?

I'm trying to figure out my percentage correct and it is close but 719/800 is different from 819/900

The questions are weighted, meaning some are worth more credit than others. Don't do a literal translation of your score to a percentage point. As to the formula that CompTIA uses, that's probably unknown.

819 out of 900 works out to 91%. So you could say you got an A- on your A+...

So I'm assuming that 80 questions is equivalent to 800.

For my test, the CompTIA A+ JK0-801 included the following:

    80 questions total

    Exam Score Report
    Passing Score 675
    Candidate Score: 769
    Pass/Fail: Pass

So does that mean I received a 96.9%? The passing score is the same as the CompTIA A+ tests that has a total of 90 questions (900).

JK0-801 and -802 are the same as their standard counterparts. (I think 200-801 and -802 off the top of my head) just the academic institution version. The CompTIA people that I've talked to say that they're exactly the same as the standard in everything except price.

I didn't think to ask but mixing a JK0- and a 200- togeth might not trigger the computers for certification though. Heck it might not even be a valid option. It might have to be only JKO and JKO. But I have confirmed with CompTIA people that one you have the A+ ce from JKO test it's an A+ ce no matter how you got it.

The JK0-801 that I took on Saturday only had 80 questions as opposed to the usual 90 that the 220-801 has. I believe the questions are pulled randomly from a bank of about 250 when the test is started.
