Just accepted a job and getting ready to relocate

Hey guys,

I live 8 hours east away from the Chicago area, and just accepted a job there by the o'hare airport. I was just looking for any advice or tips on getting a place to live there or living in that area itself.

Any help would make you an amazing person, thank you.

Congrats! What the deal? Loner, kids, wife? Budget? That can help narrow it down.

Not that I don't think you'll get helpful information here but subreddits are very helpful for questions like this!

I don't hang out much around O'hare but particularly like the Schaumburg area. Tons of stuff to do, shops, restaurants, many apartments, relatively safe. For more insight I can recommend Chicago Suburbs Forum - Relocation, Moving, General and Local City Discussions - City-Data Forum. That forum came in very helpful when I was scoping out places in Chicago and surrounding areas.

I second Schaumburg. Most the people I know when I worked by Ohare at the hospital lived there.
