How do I ping another host in GNS3?

Hi, I can't get a host to ping my router? I tried this http://www.gns3.net/documentation/gns3/adding-hosts-to-your-topologies/ but I still can't ping 192.168.1.254. I even setup 2 pc's on a switch and used VPCS to assign them 192.168.2.1 and 192.168.2.2 and I added the corresponding ports in NIO UDP for the host and they still can't ping eachother. Help please! Ps. VPCS doesn't save the ip information I put in why is that? *So I have two pc's connected to a switch and then to a router(192.168.2.254) pc1 using nio_udp:30002:127.0.0.1:20002 with the ip of 192.168.2.5 can ping 192.168.2.254 but pc2 using nio_udp:30001:127.0.0.1:20001 with ip 192.168.2.4 can not ping 192.168.2.254. The status for pc1 says connected to SW2 3. The status for pc2 says connected to SW2 2. I closed vpcs and deleted pc1 and added pc1 with the same setttings now I can't ping 192.168.2.254 from pc 1. I keep getting the error message "206-unable to create udp nio". I am running GNS3 0.8.7. ***I fixed it by reinstalling GNS3**icon_cheers.gif
