IBM System Timer Beep Codes
the_alpha_geekguy
My Preplogic Practice Test says the IBM error code is 4 beeps for a problem with the System Timer and my "CompTIA A+ 5th Edition" Que book by Charles J. Brookes says it's 3 beeps.
Anybody know which one is right? Or are they both right?

It's likely going to vary based on the age of the system/notebook.
You'll want to know how to look it up for the item you are servicing, but for your exam, you shouldn't need to know a specific mfg's codes.
To answer your question, it is quite possible that they are both correct.
