Advice on short-term goals

I just started my new position as a System Admin and I have to complete short-term goals for my Performance Appraisal. Any advice on what type of short-term goals I should be working towards?

You could look at certs, training, completing a MOOC, an educational class, developing a new process/tweaking an old one, identifying an inefficiency and creating a new solution... lots of ways to go on short-term goals.
