70-410 - Plan for Server Roles?

hey guys, I am new to this site and currently studying for my 70-410 exam. Ive been working in the IT industry for a few years now in both sys admin and helpdesk roles. I know the basics but certainly need to hone my skills in labs before the exam. Can you tell me how much I need to know re the various roles etc? as part of the Install and Configure servers component there is mention of "plan for server roles" how much would I need to know here? might sounds like a silly question but is it basically just know the roles and what each one does? or do we need in depth knowledge of how to configure and setup each of them? obviously some of them will fall under other parts of the exam Any help or tips appreciated, Ben

You need to know the topics pretty deep. Not just what the role is and how to install it, but also how to configure it and how it all works. You're also expected to know how the roles on 2012 and 2012r2 compare to previous versions.
