Congratulations! It's always exciting to begin a new position that offers more growth professionally. I recently went through your situation; I was dragged along for almost 2 years with the promises of getting hired on as a permanent employee (was a subcontractor) and the counter offer was again a carrot on a stick...just wait 2 more months then it would happen (LOL).

Everyone in this thread is right; you are the only one with your best interest in mind. If you have a good boss/manager/supervisor, they will want you to succeed and continue to grow.
