R&D roles?

Just out of curiosity are there any non engineer types or non PhD holders that are filling roles in research and development? If so how did you get there?

Also, anyone specifically in security R&D?


This type of work seems very interesing.

I know of plenty who work at Google, and some work at IBM Labs. You can also do R&D in a university. It's a different career path. Do a quick search in LinkedIn and see what people are doing
