Ping times all over the place...
This is pinging from my laptop to the AP to a server in my basement that is also wireless.
When i set this up a couple weeks back, pings were steady between 30-60 ms and I could stay connected vid RDP to the server without issue.
I noticed last weekend when I was unable to connect my pings were all over the place. I didn't have time to look into it until now, and a whole week later its still on going.
I have power cycled every device involved. I have tried to think of any new electrical device that might have been introduced to create this issue but I cant think of anything that might be creating interference.
Whats a good next step on figuring this out?

If I put my laptop right next to the server (both wireless) and ping the AP, I get two very different pictures. From the server above, you see what I get. From my laptop, I get pings that avg 6 ms and no packet loss.

If you have an Android phone or tablet WiFi Analyzer is a great app to check the channels in use. You want to use 1, 6 or 11 - you probably know that already but just thought I should mention it anyways.

The pic I posted above is from the server to the AP.
When I put my laptop near the server then ping to the AP my pings average 6 ms. I live in the sticks w/no neighbors, but just to be sure I downloaded an analyzer and did not find any other APs.
