Starting CCENT Study Over After Ten Months Off

I was studying a lot last year at this time for my CCENT. I was new to Cisco at the time so I was spending a lot of time just learning it through my Cisco Press Official books and CBT Nugget videos. In December I lost a family member which stopped me dead in my tracks and I couldn't focus on studying so I stopped. Then my father-in-law had to have hip surgery and my wife and I decided to move 100 miles south to be close to him and my mother-in-law because they were having problems taking care of themselves while my 80 year old father in law was down. We figured if something serious happens we need to be down there because traveling 100 miles every week would suck. So, then I had to move.. still trying to short sell my house but I think I have a buyer now. Had to find another job too. All this has taken nine months to get me down here full time and has been very stressful. Now that I am moved in, have a new job and should have the old house sold soon I am ready to start studying again.

My question after all that is has anything changed since December for the test or can I continue to use my 200-120 books to prepare?

Sorry to hear this, sounds like you've had a bit of a rough time!

The 200-120 is still current for CCNA so you should be fine to keep using those books/videos.

Yes any of the material that was for the new exam should still work perfect. The change was made in Sept 2013 so what you have is most likely all current. Life is sometimes difficult and gets in the way of goals. Don't let that discourage you. If it was easy everyone would do it.

    Good Luck and welcome back!

Thanks everyone. Glad to hear it has not changed. Are there any new resources? I bought into GNS when they were offering deals. I haven't downloaded the new version though.
