Weird I.T. job description requirements

Good Sunday everybody!!

I hang out on the CCENT/CCNA forum but occasionally stop by here for pearls of wisdom . So I saw an interesting job opportunity
I thought I'd share with you all and get some feedback on how to interpret it.

Nothing fancy, just an I.T. support position

Network Technician

Assists the IT department in the administration of local area computer network activities by performing the following duties.

Here's the curveball. Why would the corporation require the skills mentioned here:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.

    Someones got to know how to calculate the tip when you guys go out =P

    Kidding aside I wouldnt worry about. Maybe even joke about that during the interview

    I have a theory. To me this seems like the result of overly liberal copy/paste. If you Google that you will see it used in many jobs like bookkeepers, QA engineers. CNC machinists, and others.
