Linux screen brightness issue
SephStorm
Hi all.
I just installed Kali on a laptop and while it was working fine yesterday, the screen brightness seems to be nearly non-existant. It is fine up until right after the grub loader, so its fine when the laptop boots and you select regular mode Kali. I did some searching online, see a few references and tried the brightness menu to no avail, also did an apt-get upgrade && update and rebooted a few times. No help at all. Any idea what might cause this?
I also checked xrandr the brightness is set to 1.0 also ran xbacklight to 100. The screen brightness key on the laptop doesn't seem to do anything (It brings up the image which goes up and down, but see no change in the brightness, up or down.)
