in A+
Hey everyone!
I want to get my CompTIA triad, as I'm going to be entering the job market in the spring. I've taken classes for each of the three certs (A+, Network+, And Security+), so I have most of the core knowledge down. Now I just want to review using Professor Messer, a textbook, and possibly ExamCram. The problem is, I'm not sure which A+ book I should get. I was checking out an older Sybex book, and it felt a bit cheap, and I didn't like the layout, so I will probably try to stay away from Sybex.
Does anyone have any opinions on which book(s) to get? Also, are the current exams (220-801 and 220-802) going to be retired any time soon? I know Sec+ is switching to SYS-401 at the end of the year, and Net+ is on its way to the next version. So I don't want to study for 801 and 802 if they're going to change soon.
Thanks for any help!

I will be ordering Meyer's 8th edition and Messers study guides. I also will be watching both Messer and Meyers' videos for 801 & 802. Cant beat the 8th edition for only $30, new, online =D! In-depth book, study guide/notes, and YouTube video/training sessions.
Good luck with all your studies! -
C.Fountain Member Posts: 28 ■□□□□□□□□□Is this the book you guys are referring to: CompTIA A+ Certification All-in-One Exam Guide, 8th Edition (Exams 220-801 & 220-802): Michael Meyers: 9780071795128: Amazon.com: Books? Meyers seems to have a lot of books out covering the same subject, but this is the 8th edition, which I think is the latest. How do you all feel about CompTIA A+ 220-801 and 220-802 Authorized Cert Guide, Deluxe Edition (3rd Edition): Mark Edward Soper, David L. Prowse, Scott Mueller: 9780789749802: Amazon.com: Books?
