Cisco vs. Microsoft

Hi all ,
Which company's hardware is dominating in "Networking" world?
Cisco OR Microsift??

Bottom line is ... I would like to stay in Networking field, not Software.
So which Certifications would be better to get a decent job --

Cisco certifications OR Microsoft certifications ????

Any advice?

Microsoft does not make networking hardware (unless you count the xbox). Microsoft is predominantly a software company.
