Anyone taken this?

Wondering if it is really appropriate for beginners with no programming experience. They say it can be done, but i'm not so sure. :)

I was eyeing this at one point too, but in the past when I've heard about or taken classes that were self-described with "prior programming experience not required, but recommended" usually it means that knowledge would help a lot. I think SEC660 has somewhat similar verbiage (at least they recommend knowing the concepts) but a co-worker who took it mentioned that without having prior assembly experience, it's a bit unrealistic to expect to get a lot out of the class.

Check out SecurityTube's Python course. I'm going through it and it starts on a level basic enough to understand with little programming background.

I've taken this course with absolutely no programming experience. Mark Baggett (the instructor) does a great job at teaching those with not much programming knowledge. I think that whether or not you gain anything from the course depends on you continuing to work on it once it's completed.
