I cannot connect to adventureworks

Good day,

Please help, i downloaded and attached Adventureworks2012 database.The moment i attached it ,all was working perfect now the problem is after my study session for that day, i switched off the computer and the following day till now i can't connect to Adventureworks database.Its showing a message which reads (recovery pending).

Anyone with an idea please help.Thank you

Did you stop SQL Server before you shut down the machine? Is the drive with the log file up and available? You might try stopping SQL Server and starting it again. It sounds like SQL Server didn't stop properly.

Since this is a test DB, I would probably detach the database, delete it, and attach a new copy.
