Working in Amazon?

I was contacted by an Amazon's recruiter about a security engineer position in Ireland.
I'm still trying to decide what to do. For the professional side, I think it's a pretty good opportunity, defending a highly exposed infrastructure with a lot of fun around (wondering how many attacks/day they have). However, for the personal side... Ireland is a country that I don't like at all, anything! If it had been in London - Reading - Guildford (where most of IT companies are located in England) I would have replied back already, but Ireland... pff
I'm trying to convince myself to move there but I haven't had success yet xD. Do anyone of you work or have worked at Amazon? How does the the work environment looks like?

You probably won't fit in anyway, so you are wasting your time. And, don't worry I don't take offence, the Canary Islands wouldn't be my choice of destination either, I can see why you are trying to get off the island.
