Question guys on T1 and straight or T1 cable only?
HI guys, okay I have made T1 cables for T1 csu/dsu links in a circuit router before but I have no experience hooking up a straight cable to a t1 csu/dsu link connected to an MPLS circuit. My question is will a normal straight cable work with a t1 csu/dsu circuit to an MPLS epvc line? or only an actual T1 cable for that csu/dsu T1 link?

The latter requires a T1 Crossover cable (Flip the Orange and Blue Pairs). That said, I have heard it claimed that because a T1 puts off more EMI than Ethernet that using Ethernet cables is less than ideal, especially over longer distances. I've used regular Ethernet cables with no problem for short runs (Rack to the Wall).R&S: CCENT → CCNA → CCNP → CCIE [ ]
