iSCSI Issues with VMAX SAN

Has anyone had any experience hooking up iSCSI initiators to an EMC VMAX. I have done this literally thousands of times with other storage arrays and this is the first time I have been unable to connect an iSCSI initiator to an array successfully. I can connect to the array but once I try to read or write to the LUN (for example, to format it) it gets stupid. I took a wireshark **** and it seems like the VMAX is sending a reset packet every time it tries a read or write iSCSI command. Then it logs back into the array and tries again and the same issue happens. EMC support is useless on this one.
