IP Helper Address with IPv6?
Alex90
Hi All,
I just wanted to clarify something really quickly - you don't have to use the ip helper-address command with IPv6 do you?
As far as my understanding goes you only use this command as routers don't forward broadcasts (which would be needed when the host is initially trying to find a DHCP server). If you don't have broadcasts (as such) in IPv6 then surely there is no need for the ip helper-address command is your running IPv6 on you network...is this correct?
Cheers
Alex
