It's relatively new but has anyone attended training or done the certification, or in the process of attending or doing the certification? If so, any thoughts? Even if you have not or are not planning, any thoughts on it are welcome.
Thanks.
Thanks.

JDMurray Admin Posts: 13,105 AdminGIAC has a certification specifically for the SANS Top 20 critical security controls? I suppose if your organization has a C(I)SO that is really gung ho on the SANS Top 20 this would be a good cert to go for.

GarudaMin Member Posts: 204Thanks JD. That's my gut feeling too. They are retiring G2700 and offering that course (self-study + exam + practice tests) for about $600 to those with G2700 certs. Considering they are waiving $4700, I was thinking of taking that offer. I am sure between G2700 and GCCC, I can build a solid case on resume/next career move. At the very least, I will gain some additional knowledge in pursuit of it.

chanakyajupudi Member Posts: 712I believe the cert is definitely worth the effort and the 720$ including shipping. I am going to give it a go as part of the Christmas Lockdown we have here. I have a good 12 days off and I think I should get the books by then.
Should be a good way to understand how Self Study works. I have done 4 of my courses via the Work Study model.Work In Progress - RHCA [ ] Certified Cloud Security Professional [ ] GMON/GWAPT if Work Study is accepted [ ]
