The company I work for is looking for a Windows Admin that is local to Utah SLC/Utah County area no outside candidates are being looked at (sorry not my call). If you are interested please let me know and we can talk more. Below is a list of things we are looking for:
This position will either be directly responsible for or assist with the research, review, implementation, and support of various Microsoft technologies in the environment. This includes Microsoft SharePoint, System Center, Active Directory, Exchange, Hyper-v , and Windows client and server operating systems. As with any IT position, the candidate will be required to be on-call 24/7 to assist with issues. There will be some international travel required. The final title and position will be determined by experience and knowledge of MS systems.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
College Degree a plus, but not required
3-5 years experience working on Microsoft software
2-3 years experience in a corporate IT environment
Logical, linear troubleshooting
Detail oriented
Willing to learn and take on new assignments, even those that might be out of their comfort zone
Experience in at least two or more of the following MS software: Active Directory, SharePoint, Exchange, Hyper-V, Microsoft client and server operating systems.
Understand the basics of networking including the TCP/IP protocol, DNS, and DHCP.
Linux experience a plus, but not required
Willing to travel at least once or twice a year to international office locations.
Requirements
This position requires someone that is able to quickly think through and resolve issues. Someone that is passionate about technology and has the drive to learn, implement, and support various Microsoft systems. The individual in this position may be directly responsible for several key systems in the company, and must be willing to take ownership of those systems.. While this position is specifically for a Microsoft engineer, the person chosen for this position will also be exposed to other technologies such as Linux, networking, storage, virtualization, and other applications in use in the environment. The person chosen for this position will have the opportunity to work with and learn from an extremely dedicated, hardworking, and knowledgeable enterprise infrastructure team.
