Motherboard for ESXi 5.5
Hello Everyone.
I need to build a new lab machine here at home, and I am looking for recommendations for a motherboard which supports ESXi 5.5. I plan on getting an Intel i7 4790k, so I need an Intel board.
Anyone have any suggestions?

I think it mainly had to do with the storage controller. So like anything else, see what the Hardware Compatability Guide shows.

MrAgent Member Posts: 1,310 ■■■■■■■■□□I ended up buying an ASRock Z97X Killer, which apparently ESXi 5.5 does not recognize the NIC.
So now I am looking for a Qualcomm Atheros Killer E2200 Series driver for ESXi.
Ill find it one of these days.
