Afternoon All,

Just a quick question out of interest really how you guys acquired your Cisco certs whether it be CCNA,CCNP,Voice,Security etc.

I have self-studied my CCNA and CCNP (so far) and just wondered how you other guys have managed to get your certs and also what methods you have all used (Self-Study, Bootcamps).

CCNA - 4 years of hands on experience with routers + training from a CCIE (provided access to a switch lab)
    CCNA Security - self study
CCNP Security - 5 day bootcamp for the Firewall exam; the rest was self study (hands on ASA/VPN/IPS experience at work)
Alphabet soup: CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CISA, GPEN, GCIA, GCIH, GCCC, CEH, etc

Self Study; Best and Cheapest way IMO. - Unless your employer happily forks out the $ for a training course. (The benefits of employment!)
