Hello,

I currently work as a Network Engineer at my current position, but I feel like I'm wasting my time here.I create VPN's and Firewall configs but nothing else major, and I do some F5 administration. My job offers no training, no lab for us to practice on, and when we make mistakes were thrown under the bus. I worked and studied hard for the following certs but I'm not getting the opportunities to sharpen my skills. I'm ready for a change. I'm seeking advice from Sr. Engineers or from those that have good positive feedback. I'm also considering relocation from Atlanta,GA to either Austin, Houston or Dallas, Texas.

Certifications I have:
CCNA
CCNA-Security
JNCIA

Certifications i'm considering:
CEH (WGU pays for)
CHFI (WGU pays for)
JNCIS-SEC/JNCIP-SEC (I have 1 Juniper SRX 100 firewall)
CCNP-SEC

CBT Nugget videos Juniper, CCNP-Security
I have books for Juniper (JNCIS-SEC), CCNP-Sec, CISA, CEH
I'm enrolled at WGU M.S Security Assurance

Goal is to work within a Soc:
1st Junior Security Analyst
2nd Security Analyst
3rd Security Auditor

Have you polished off your resume? Have you posted it to multiple job search sites? (Dice, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, etc)

If so, how long has it been out there and many responses have you received?

If you are unhappy at your current job, I recommend making it your number one priority to seek new employment ASAP.
