I'd recommend becoming familiar with attack methods and the processes that different types of malware follow. A really interesting site for this is contagiodump.blogspot.com. This site has a PCAP archive of APT and crimeware traffic that you can analyze with network forensics tools. It's pretty interesting stuff. I currently work as an intrusion analyst, and PCAP analysis is my bread and butter.Currently Studying For: GXPN
