Hey Guys,
So Tom's Hardware would like to ask you all if you guys can come up with 5 of the top Hardware related certifications:
So Far I think it's:
a) Comptia A+
b) ACTS
c) CWTS - Certified Wireless Technology Specialist
d) not sure
e) not sure
I'd put Server + but I'm sure it's knowledge is really relevant anymore, most people stop at A+ and expand upward from there into N+/S+ or something even higher like CCNA/MCSA/VCP. But we need 5 total.
Thoughts?

The only others I can think of are the HP certifications, but they really only seem to be relevant if you are affiliated with HP. -

Maybe:
d) Cisco Certified Technician Data Center/Routing and Switching.
Like everyone else has said A+ and Server + are the best known/sought out in the hardware arena. Although its a bit dated, I think Server + knowledge is still valuable and I still see it on job postings. -
Priston Member Posts: 999 ■■■■□□□□□□BICSI certification should definitely be somewhere on the list! I'd probably put it 2nd or 3rd not 100% sure. I also think server+ is still relevant and should be on the list, just look at the exam objectives.
Maybe
1. CompTIA A+
2. ACMT - Apple Certified Macintosh Technician
3. BICSI - Building Industry Consulting Services International
4. CompTIA Server+
5. CWTS - Certified Wireless Technology SpecialistA.A.S. in Networking Technologies
A+, Network+, CCNA
