WD MYCloudBackupMirror: useful find
Hey all,
if you guys use a WD MYCloudBackupMirror at work or anyplace, there is an annoying bug in windows that prevents the dam NAS from connecting to windows. After about 20 minutes of troubleshooting, I tried one last trick in the bag and it worked from A+ learning days.
If the local login/pw is different than the login/pw of the NAS it will prevent the permissions from working if say you restrict some people from accessing the folders from others.
Ran this in cmd, under admin mode: "net use * /delete" and it fixed the problem....basically you have to clear the cache login information of other mappings for the NAS to work, then I had to re-add permissions to other storage locations like the SAN and File Server....
just super annoying... had a few moments...
