Safe Mode vs. Last Known Good....
O.K. I have received several questions about whether to use Safe Mode or Last Known Good Configuration. Most of the time, the questions state that the computer cannot boot because of some new driver installed on the machine. In the Meyers book, it is said that you should boot into Safe Mode first, but I have missed questions on practice tests choosing that option.
Can anyone differentiate between the two options?

It should usually be the first thing that you try. As long as Windows does not boot up and/or you get a stop error, you should be able to use this feature. You would use safe mode if you have changed something and had since rebooted successfully. This is my explanation to you.
