IPv6 encryption

Am I just hard headed or did I miss where ipv6 "automatically encrypts" all traffic? I was taking a largely irrelevant pre-assessment and one of the questions pertained to this.

I understand v6 eases implementation of ipsec by integrating the ESP header into the v6 header, but as I understand it the 'automatic encryption' statement is false.
