Exchange fowarding
Wanted to see if anyone could help me with an email issue.
I have a group of users who have their email configured to forward to another email address using an exchange contact. Contact is created in GAL and the email account has the delivery option under mail flow settings set to forward to the contact. the problem is with messages from AOL. When these messages come into Exchange and are forwarded out the @AOL.com is retained as the sending address so the external email (hotmail.com, comcast.net, and yahoo.com) thinks that my server is relaying the message and because of the SPF or DEMARC policy that AOL.com has in place, the messages are rejected. Is there a way to change the from address so it is the internal email address and not the aol.com address?
It looks like I could do this with mailbox rules, but i'm looking for something that I can apply globally to the server.
