I am an IT auditor and my supervisor asked me to plan the training for the next year that the organization should pay for me and I have chosen CISSP but I am missing supporting document which proves that really IT auditor need this training. I would like ask anyone who has a web link or any other document which can support can share it with me.
Useful - Yes
I would say CISA is probably more appropriate as a dedicated auditor, I complete security audits as part of my role (just passed CISA) but my role is varied as consultant, the breadth of information that the CISSP expects is always going to be valuable to understand what your auditing and a varied knowledge of security aspects is always useful.
Learning Python and OSCP
In order to evaluate systems, processes and the governance structure which you do as an IT Auditor you will and the organization both will benefit from this training.
Besides most IT Audit jobs mention CISA and CISSP as needed certs.
