How to change the name of a machine in child domain

Hi
I wanted to create a child domain called "content.test.net" but accidentally created "content.content.test.net" because the machine had already a computer name of "content". So the computer name now became "content.content.test.net" instead of the desired name of "content.test.net".
My question is -
How do I make the computer name again as "content.test.net" while it retains the child domain status?
Hope my question is clear.
