Burning an ISO file to a USB?
MarcIT
Hi, I am currently studying for my Windows 7 70-680 exam.
I have created a Windows PE ISO file using the Deployment Tools Command Prompt provided with Windows AIK. I have likewise formatted as Fat32 and configured my USB device properly to be bootable using DISKPART.
I have tested my Windows PE ISO file in a VirtualBox machine and it works fine.
My problem is that I don't know how to burn the ISO to my physical USB drive. I have tried using Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool to perform the burn, but it says its not a valid ISO file - which it is.
I dont want to use third party software unless I have to. Is there any easy way to perform this task, it seems like it should be pretty straight forward?
Thanks,
Marc

If the usb is bootable, you can copy/paste the iso content to the usb. Rufus is my goto for this, it's portable.

I dont know which version of PE you are using for that exam, but v5 allows you to make and burn the iso from the cmd line.
