Scott Adams on goals and passion - Business Insider

I love this. A great way of looking at something differently.

This is what I live by, so much of what is told to our kids in school and our society as a whole is just a way to keep the masses happy. Just keep working, plug along, have a goal, but yet so many don't hit it big. I wish I could have that ignorance. The fact that I know I can be better and just can't figure out how to make a Billion dollar salary bugs the **** out of me to no end.

Basically he's just saying be more objective and specific about your goals which I agree with. Long-term goals are great, but without any short-term goals to feasibly make that happen they are useless.

I think he addresses that with the blind luck part. :/
