Ideal equipment needed

I am self-studying for the A+ exam.

Ideally, what kind of equipment should I have at home to get hands on experience? What did you find useful?

Thanks in advance!

Really don't need any equipment for the A+. But if you have a desktop computer you can tear it apart and put it back together it might help visualize what exactly is going on.

Think I just used a book and the free professor messer videos online when I did mine.

As the above poster mentioned taking desktops apart and putting them back together is great experience. Also spend some time installing Windows if that's an option. I only used Mike Meyers all in one for study material, though a lot of people love Professor Messers classes.
