Passed GSEC today!
What a great feeling! I passed with a 96% in about 4 hours. I watched the OnDemand courses one time through and read the books...some areas more than once (Crypto, Crypto, oh yeah...Crypto). I didn't use the .mp3 material...I tried listening to them while at work, but I was not really getting anything out of that.
The index is a must if you want to get over the 90%, put in the time and create your own. If you are not sure whether or not to put something in there, put it in. My index ended up being 33 pages. I followed this format (Index) with a Terms, Commands and Linux section.
I am fairly new to the security field, so this was a great course to get me up to speed. A big THANK YOU to JDMurray and the rest of the forum members...reading through these posts proved very valuable.

My boss has hinted he would like me to go for the CISSP. I've been reading about some other certs and the ones that interest me right now are CCNA Security, GCIH and CEH. We will see what happens, I'm going to keep doing some research.
Any advice is appreciated! Thanks! -
