ip vrf command istead of vrd definition

hi,
i use from
c7200-adventerprisek9-mz.124-4.T1.image
ios gns3
but because it is old IOS i cant run command :
vrf definition 100:ME
can i use ip vrf instead of vrf definition 100:ME
is it true i type
ip vrf 100:ME
is it true?Does it work as same as vrf definition 100:ME

They work the same. VRF definition is the newer method; allowing you to configure separate address-families. For generic IPv4 VRFs, the classic "ip vrf" will do just fine.
