ISC2 local chapters

Does anyone here belong to any ISC2 local chapter? I filled my information to join as soon as I got my endorsement completed but then at the last step it said I have to pay about $25 or so. Just wondering if I should go ahead or if it's not worth it. Can someone share their experience/comments on this?
